Empowered to Serve

I Have God’s Everlasting Love

For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:38-39)
Amazing! Paul is saying that regardless of the seriousness of our mistakes or the disasters that overtake us, God still loves us.

Yes, guilt strikes a chord with us when we fail. Satan loves it when we wallow in our failures (sins). He is always there to remind us that we failed; we are unworthy of serving the Master. We think that God has forgotten or even rejected us. We are no good.

With this resounding statement, Paul reminds us that the door of forgiveness is always open. Our Father not only forgives us, He picks us up, restores us, and sets us on firm footing. We are a part of His family created to advance His kingdom.

As believers, we know God’s love. He thinks so highly of us, how can we continue to think so little of ourselves?

Who am I? I cannot be separated from the love of Christ.
